PERTH PIRATES FLOORBALL CLUB

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Perth Pirates Floorball Club (“Pirates”, “we”, “us”) operates this website to share information about floorball and help people contact or join the club. This notice explains how personal information submitted through the site is handled.

Information we collect

When you contact Pirates or register interest in a session, we may collect your name, email address, message, playing experience, age or age group, suburb or postcode, availability, and other information you choose to provide. For junior enquiries, we ask that a parent or guardian provide contact details. Do not submit medical, financial or other sensitive information through the general enquiry form.

We also use website analytics, which can collect technical and usage information such as pages visited, general location, browser or device information and interaction events. Cookies or similar technologies may be used to support these services and normal website operation.

How we use information

We use enquiries to respond to questions, help people find appropriate training sessions or teams, manage expressions of interest, and communicate about relevant club activities. We use aggregated website analytics to understand and improve our website. Submitting an enquiry does not enrol you in a club program or guarantee a place.

How information is stored and shared

Enquiry submissions are stored in the website’s WordPress database, and notifications are sent using an email delivery service connected to the club’s Google Gmail account. Website and email providers may process information on our behalf, potentially outside Australia. Google Analytics is used to understand website usage. Access to enquiries should be limited to authorised club administrators and people who need the information to respond.

We may share relevant enquiry information with club organisers or coaching contacts when necessary to respond or arrange participation. We do not intend to use enquiry details for unrelated commercial marketing. We may disclose information where required by law or to address safety concerns.

Keeping information and protecting it

We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for club enquiries, administration and applicable legal obligations. Website accounts, hosting, email and access controls are used to help protect information, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children and young people

Parents or guardians should submit enquiries on behalf of children. The website’s enquiry form is not a registration, medical-consent or child-safety assessment form. Any additional requirements for participation will be communicated separately.

Your choices and contact

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you provided, subject to applicable obligations. To ask about privacy or to withdraw an expression of interest, contact piratesfloorballclub@gmail.com. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Links to Floorball WA, social media, equipment partners or other third-party websites are governed by those websites’ own privacy practices. We may update this notice when our processes or services change; the date at the top will indicate the latest revision.
